OVERVIEW: The Continental ContiSportContact 3 SSR is a performance and high performance, summer tire manufactured for passenger vehicles and SUVs.This model is the run flat version of the ContiSportContact 3 tire. This tire was manufactured with the Self Supporting Runflat (SSR) Technology which provides temporary restricted mobility for 50 miles up to the speed of 50 mph in case of air pressure loss. In case of a puncture or some other tire damage which causes air pressure loss in the tire, the reinforced sidewall supports the weight of the vehicle and its passengers for the given time, enabling the driver to safely arrive at a destination to repair or change the tire. Run flat tires are manufactured for vehicles that do not have space for spare tires and are made from a heavier material than regular tires. They cannot be mixed with regular tires.The tire is a summer model, which means it has superb dry and wet weather traction. The tire is not recommended for use in winter conditions, as the tread compound loses its traction in the colder temperatures.
